Leica M6 + Summicron 50mm f2 — Ilford HP5+ — Rodinal 1+50
Since our lovely system of finding new photographers is kinda limited to what is ‘insanely’ popular (tumblr’s words). I’ve decided to take it upon myself to; every Friday, choose a particular film photographer that isn’t on the ‘big’ radar and try to spread their work.
Not only is this a way for me to talk about someones’ work but also to spread some followers to acknowledge their photographs.
After each post of this series, i’ll send them a ‘Fanmail’ notice describing that i’ve done a little piece on their work, and why I think it was special. It may be of inspiration, jealousy (location!) or just great photography that I think should be known. If you also have any tips for future postings, please send me a fanmail notice too and i’ll be sure to check it out.
Without further blabbering,

Armed with a Leica M2 and an Summicron 35mm, Voigtlander Nokton 35mm, and a Jupiter 8 (50mm), there is true photography passion within this tumblr.
A Leica M2 is a quintessential Leica, it’s the second model following the M3, and still without a meter. It has numerous little improvements over the latter and an absolute joy to shoot with. To be able to guess the exposure so well is something I adore; as I once also had an M2.

I’ve been following his work for some time now, and it almost has some resemblance of my style but with a bit more bravery.. Alot more actually. Get in there!

It’s always great seeing the photos go up of interactions, moments of time where peoples’ concentrations are peaked.
There’s a consistency of very fine happenings in each of the photos.. It’s a great feature to see as an photographer that he does very well.

Compositionally these are all sound; as most photographers don’t even need to compose they just kind of feel what’s right. I have this feeling this happens as i’ve never really seen a bad photo yet.
There’s a lot of great work on the tumblr, so please check them out.
I hope this is something that’ll catch on and help spread the film photography love!
‘til next friday.
Sorry for repost, it originally posted, then messed up (?) then disappeared, and back again..
Unfortunately during my recent trek to Cleveland, not only did my Polaroid 350 shots on Fuji FP-100C mess up (they stuck together and got ruined), My M6 also suffered from the cold—freezing up the film transport and causing me not to be able to shoot.
Now i’ve discovered my newly acquired Nikkor also has bit the cold. It’s been taken away now, and replaced with something I was shocked was offered to me!

That was mostly unexpected.
Now back to normal service.

OK, that’s it. I have to voice this.
If you see anyone you’re following starting to post random crap about ‘Tumblr Staff blog’ deals and whatever, send them a message containing this:
“Your account was compromised by some random themer that stole you and your followers passwords/accounts information so they can post this ‘tumblr staff deals’ spam.
Change your password, delete the paragraph of spam code, get a new theme then go back to your old one if you want (I copied my html then put in a new theme for a minute before pasting the old code -WITHOUT THE SPAMMY PARAGRAPH, see below)
Basically it creates a little window asking for login cause of some random reason, you ‘log in’ and it sends your account info to someone or something.
Change your password.

Look at this great sunset, smells like pork?
Honestly I made the mistake of shooting the FP-100C, and peeling them at the same time and putting them in the back to keep shooting, you have to let them dry completely before stowing them. Guess what I did?
A rather interesting effect, try that lomo cameras!

@an0j, it is actually night time, it was a 1/4 second exposure, similar to this shot.
p.s. this lens is freaking sharp stopped down one or two.
