    Looks like someone who had built the church or went there, then left, someone took it and made a random store out of it, then left the whole thing. There’s alot of this in Cleveland.. Re-tooling then abandon.

    Ran across this today, I almost made it a day without photographing some kind of sad, bad, and deteriorating in Cleveland.

    Photo to the left is from when the church was in use. Built in 1933. Apparently the congregation became elderly and worried for their safety, and moved to Brecksville, Ohio, leaving this to be sold to the Zion Baptist Church, who abandoned it in 1984.

    It’s been covered to death, but the beauty inside, the mosaics, and all are left uncared for kinda makes for some emotion.

    You’d be surprised just how many buildings in Cleveland have burned, and left to sit. I think on my journeys there is a burned and abandoned building every street.
